Sept. 2018 – August 2020

As a Principal UXR ay HubSpot working across both the CMS and Marketing Hubs, I’m focused on learning about how marketers create content, distribute it via various channels and how AI might assist their workflow.

Leading the research craft at Humi, I developed education and processes and introduced them to the UX team at large, offering mentoring and coaching on research methods and techniques. I also ran two large scale, strategic studies which influenced product roadmaps and company-wide understanding of Humi Users.

In ReOps at Shopify, I designed systems, processes & educational content to enable the democratisation & scalability of user experience research for 100’s of UXers across the organisation.

At Ubisoft Montreal as User Research Lab Team Lead, I managed a team of 10 people as they conducted research as part of the development process of some of the biggest video games in the industry. I was responsible for the training and ‘onboarding’ of new members of the team, as well as assuring the high performance and evolution of each individual. I built and maintained strong professional relationships across multidisciplinary teams in order to ensure efficient and trusted collaboration.

DWP - UK Government.

May 2018 – Sept. 2018

Contracted by the Department for Work and Pensions within the UK Government, I led a team through Agile methodology to move a paper-based internal tool to digital versions. I created the research strategy for this, in-line with the GDS guidelines ensuring that all discovery research was completed in order to allow the team to release the Alpha phase of the product development cycle. I completed user interviews with DWP staff, co-design sessions and mapped user journeys alongside paper prototypes during my discovery research phase.

BBC - iPlayer

Nov 2016 – Dec 2017

As the Senior UX researcher for one of the BBC’s flagship products, I designed and conducted the cross-platform research strategy to work toward consistency across multiple devices. I utilised methodologies such as diary studies, surveys, interviews and user experience testing at an in-house lab in order to gain an in-depth understanding of user needs, preferences and watching habits. I worked across multiple platform-specific teams; mobile/tablet app, smart TV app & website to ensure that findings were shared in a transparent and collaborative way to ensure that users experienced a seamless flow when interacting with the product across more than one device.
